You can use the Anjum shortcut or walk straight up Umm Al Qura Road (closed for prayer times so easy walk up) Yes, the walk is ever so slightly uphill but only for 2-3 minutes so perhaps if you are elderly and struggle with this, don’t book it. Good value hotel with a surprisingly good breakfast—the main highlight. Staff are helpful. Quad rooms are standard but tight for many luggages. Wi-Fi is okay. About 20 minutes’ walk to Masjidil Haram. Bathrooms are basic and a bit worn, but overall fair choice for budget + breakfast.
